Hi, I’m Kat. I’ve spent the last 15 years in marketing, including a year at Klaviyo helping some of Australia’s biggest brands optimise their email and SMS programs.
Marketing is my passion and anything to do with strategy, or data, gets me excited. In my time in Klaviyo, I saw first-hand how unsophisticated even some of the largest brands were when it came to email (and SMS) marketing. And I understand why - without doing a whole lot of sophisticated personalisation, segmentation or generally, strategy, I saw email marketing generate up to 200x ROI (and no, I didn’t mistype that).
But, email inboxes are becoming stricter when it comes to what they’re letting through to their users, and it’s becoming more and more common to see legitimate brands blocked. Click and open rates are often inflated by bot activity or inbox providers not sharing data transparently, and so it’s going to get harder and more technical to run email marketing programs.
What this also means is that there is a huge opportunity for businesses of any size to unlock growth and market share through better utilising the power that sits within their Klaviyo account.
